  • A regulation tee ball will be placed on a hitting tee at the beginning of each at bat. Players are required to use a USA or USSA T-Ball bat.
  • Players will get 6 swings to hit the ball in fair territory. If the ball is hit foul on the last attempt, the player will get another try until they miss completely.
  • If a player fails to hit the ball from the tee, they will go back to the dugout. If a player gets out by a force or tag play while running the bases they will go back to the dugout.
  • Runners can only advance one base at a time. However, the last batter of each half inning will clear the bases after making contact and putting the ball into play. Outs can be recorded, but teams will not switch until the last batter has cleared the bases.
  • Coaches may decide to go through their batting order, or bat half their roster before the end of each half inning. This must be decided by the coaches prior to the game.
  • Each team will bat their full rooster twice before the game is over. Games must be limited to 50 minutes in duration.
  • All players in the infield will play a position. There will be no catcher. There can be an additional infielder in between the pitcher and second base. Outfielders can be spread all across the outfield. All players will play at all times.
  • Coaches must rotate defensive players every inning.
  • Coaches and parent volunteers will need to be out in the field during defensive play, instructing and encouraging their players.
  • Players should remain in the dugout until it’s their turn to bat.
  • The home team coach will prepare the field for play. This includes chalking the lines and raking the field if needed.
  • Coaches and Players must abide by the EYS Code of Conduct.
  • Physical violence towards another coach, official, fan, or player will not be tolerated. The guilty party will immediately be suspended for the season.
  • Coaches and players will refrain from using profanity directed toward any party on or off the court/field. Coaches or players who use profanity directed towards other coaches or officials will be suspended for one game and have to meet with the EYS Executive Board.
  • Players who intentionally try to hurt or injure another player will immediately be suspended from the game under the official’s discretion. Players who violate this rule will be suspended for one game and have to meet with the EYS Executive Board.
  • Coaches will demonstrate good sportsmanship and fair play at all times.
  • Coaches and players will shake hands at the end of play.
  • Coaches and players are responsible for picking trash and their belongings after each game.
